This study focuses on the difference between life expectancy and average marital expectancy by using the abridged marriage life table.
In 1990, average marital expectancy of males is 51.97, whereas that of females is 47.11. The difference in average marital expectancy between males and females is 6.36 in 1970, 4.09 in 1985 and 4.86 in 1990, but the difference get smaller steadily. In 1990, the difference between life expectancy and average marital expectancy is high, escipally the difference of females is higher than that of males.
